:o) Hope you guys are all having a great week!
I have been having some fun rearranging my kitchen a little bit...
The changes were mainly inspired by a couple of garage sale/thrift store finds from this past weekend.
I would have loved to have asked you if you would have decided to "take it or leave it" with these before you get to see the end result...butttt I was just too excited to get things put together.
*Warning*
This is SO not a perfect look...
Things will be changing I am sure.
Buttt I just wanted to share what I have right now.
I LOVE multiples in decor.
If I find something I like, I usually LOVE it when it is not the one and only.
This can complicate buying things if they aren't found for cheap because buying one might be feasible but I usually won't get it if I can't get more than one.
Case and point.
Baskets---like alone, LOVE together.
Chairs...cute by themselves but extra cool together....
and these I like even more because they don't match.
My main project was fixing up the middle child in that mix.
Here is the cleaned up before picture.
You should have seen the mold and gross wood panels that had to be ripped out before it came into the house.
Then I found a board that magically fit perfectly in the bottom part.
So well in fact that I couldn't get it out to easily place the fabric around it...
Sooo I had to work around the board...uggghh!
I stained and sanded the chair a bit and then added fabric.
I used a fabric shower curtain as my fabric cover....
It had been sitting around in my cedar chest until now... why not use it!
The chair wasn't the only thing that got some of the shower curtain love....
I had an empty window that needed a curtain.
Anddd just for fun I made a table runner too!
I am feeling like the curtain is too long....probably going to get shortened up sooner or later.
How do you feel about mismatching chairs?
What do you think? Would you want a pair-o-baskets.
I am linking up to a few of these parties.
I love the mismatching chairs look! We have mismatched everything in my house. Sometimes I get paranoid that it might look college-ish, ya know? But I love the unevens, odds & ends :) PS: I definitely want a pair-o baskets!
