Soooo I have been thinking about house shopping A LOT in the past few weeks.
We just let go of a home that we were in a countering war with a bank over.
We walked away.
And we have been moving on, finding new homes...
And I have been busy comparing my pinterest boards with what I see in the homes.... trying to get a good vision of what could be with some DIY efforts.
But today I had a nice relaxing moment with my little family {hubs and pups}
and I took a moment to reflect on possibly one of my most favorite quotes of all time...
and so I made it a little printable that I thought someone out there in blogland may enjoy....
I always used to think home shipping was fun and exciting and it can be. Especially at first. But it also can cross a line and become not fun at all. We had to let go of our dream forever home and it killed us. 100 + houses later we couldn't find anything we loved and we hated going out looking. So our awesome realtor worked some magic and got our dream home back for us!! Wishing you find the home you fall in love with!!
ReplyDeleteThat is really true! And so nice done!
ReplyDeleteGood for you for walking away!!! Emotion over a home might be what begins the bidding process, but head over heart is what must buy the home!!!! So proud of you guys. Just remember, there's always another house.
ReplyDeleteThat is so very awesome! And true! We've moved a lot and I've had many drean homes including a log home on a mountain in Montana and a 4000sf modified A-Frame (crazy I know)but my home is always where my husband is! Thank you for sharing.
ReplyDeleteHome shopping can be so stressful. I remember searching for our current house for what seemed like forever. I know it was probably hard to walk away but it just means a better house is out there waiting for you! Good luck with the search.
ReplyDeleteGood luck with everything! I know how stressful this time can be. You will find the perfect home for you both, just keep looking!
ReplyDeleteI was exactly where you are less than a year ago, so I completely understand. I love your printable, sooo true. Hang in there!
ReplyDeleteThat is sooo sweet! Thanks for the printable!
ReplyDeleteThe right house will find you, and you'll look back and think; "I am so glad we waited". Because, it will be home =)
ReplyDeleteWe had to walk away from a home that I was convinced was perfect for us at the time & it ended up being a blessing in disguise because a few weeks later we found something twenty times better, our adobe now! You will find the home for you & you couldn;t have said it better in the mean time home is where you are with your loved ones!
ReplyDeleteOh, I know that is so hard! We bought land and built, but the process took 4 years instead of the planned-on two, so we were in limbo (or really purgatory, that's what I'm calling 2 bedroom 1 bath rental with 2 kids) for WAY too long. Believe me, one you finally get something, it will feel amazing and it will be easier to block out all that in-between time. Fingers crossed you find just the right house for you.
ReplyDeleteSo pretty! Such a true statement too...love it!
ReplyDeleteThinking of you, Jaime. It's been a while since I could visit and catch up. So sorry to hear you did n't get the house you wanted. Something better will come along for you. You have a great perspective on things. It can be quite stressful when you're house hunting.

This is a great printable! I've seen that quote before, but I think it goes perfectly with the map. Thanks for sharing at Terrific Tuesdays.
