A renters version of wallpaper---a HUGE map!

Well I have to say I am drooling over all of the amazing ideas out there in blog-land about fun things to do to your walls....like:
Stencils
&
Wallpaper
BUT I am a renter and am VERY limited by what I can do....
I have been wishing for pattern and a little color and interest in my rooms...
so I have been on a hunt for other options.

I found this vintage school map and fell in love with the idea of
"temporary wallpaper with this huge map"

The map is so huge and I know the proportions aren't quite perfect, but I couldn't pass this vintage canvas beauty up!

Do you remember what these from your school years?  I sure do!

Yes I think this adds just the right amount of interest to my master bedroom.

And so now that I have this wall "covered" for now I will be looking for other options for other rooms!
I like the challenges of decorating my rental but I can't wait to have my own space with freedom to paint and wall paper!

I am linking up to a few of these amazing parties---be sure to check them out for some great inspiration!!!

  6. I think I remember seeing an episode of christopher lowell years ago where he hung wallpaper by dipping it in starch and putting it up that way. You could then just peel the wallpaper off when you were sick of it without doing any damage to the walls.
